Name this building

I always remember an enchantment about going to Boston.

There are few American cities that rival it for a place in history.

This tower, is a 60-story, 790-foot (241 m) skyscraper in Boston.

Designed by Henry N. Cobb of the firm I. M. Pei & Partners took 8 years to build and it was completed in 1976.

It has been the tallest building in Boston for more than 30 years, and is the tallest building in New England.

The parallelogram design was controversial at the time but has withstood the test of time.

The blue glass windows are a mirror to the sky.

ALWAYS SEE ON A CLOUDY DAY!

What am I?

  1. Hi Carol, Long time no see!! Have loved the Hancock Tower since I lived in Boston in 1981 – 82 – pre Telectronics and it is still just as beautiful today. Also used to love going for a drink at the front bar of the Copley Plaza Hotel next door – the lovely old building in the foreground. Would love to catch up some time.
