Memories of wintertime, Central Park NY

It was bitterly cold with the wind nipping our ears and lifting that top layer of fresh snow from the hillside to blow wet against our cheeks.

But Central Park in wintertime is  like fairyland.

People thought I was mad as I lay down in the snow to get this image.

I wanted to make the ducks the hero of this urban landscape.

People take the time to feed the ducks, some people even sit on the cold wooden benches for hours, watching, taking notes, noting new family groupings…

Look closely and you see two people enjoying the view from the bridge back towards the camera.

There’s something for everyone in every season at Central Park.
