The dreary 1 hr 20 minute drive to the prize giving ceremony for this evening’s annual event was quickly forgotten with the surprise announcement that I had won second place.
I was/am thrilled to bits.
These images are three of the 8000 + images taken earlier this year when I made the trip to Antarctica. The job of choosing just three images for the competition was exhausting. I found it extremely difficult to wheedle the numbers down again and again. So special thanks to everyone who helped me with that. If you want to see more of my images from Antarctica then “Head On” over to Societe Cafe on Danks St Waterloo to see imagery from our combined photographic exhibition, Frozen Lenses.
For the next 6 weeks Westmead Hospital celebrates in showing the work of all the finalists and prize winners exhibited throughout the hospital.
I was thrilled to enter the competition, thrilled to be judged a finalist and very thrilled to be chosen a winner.
Congratulations to everyone who entered, the competition was fierce
